Tennis Downed at Northwest Missouri

MARYVILLE, Mo. - - The Truman tennis teams traveled to Northwest Missouri State on Sunday afternoon to close a two-match MIAA weekend, but both teams fell 9-0 to the host Bearcats.

Eric McCollough was the lone Bulldog player to take a set in singles play, bouncing back from a 6-3 first set loss to take the second by a similar score. However, NWMSU's Calvin Patterson won the tiebreak 10-7 to pick up the win at No. 1 singles.

The Bulldog men (4-4, 1-1 MIAA) and women (3-6, 0-3 MIAA) return to Kirksville this week for a pair of matches – beginning with Div. I South Dakota State on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 pm before hosting conference-leading Southwest Baptist on Saturday at noon.
