Opening Kickoff:
Fresh off a weekend road trip that ran its unbeaten streak to a dozen matches, the 20th-ranked Truman women's soccer team returns to Kirksville for Homecoming weekend this Friday and Sunday for a pair of noon kickoffs against Bellarmine and McKendree.

The Bulldogs (9-1-3, 8-0-2 GLVC) carry a four-match shutout streak and a first place spot atop the GLVC standings into the second-to-last weekend of regular season action. Last weekend, Truman picked up a 2-0 win at Missouri S&T on Friday night, getting goals from Lauren Seawright and Megan Whitehead, before settling for a scoreless draw at Drury on Sunday afternoon, despite out-shooting the host Panthers 16-9.

Senior keeper Emily Bozdeck maintained her stifling action in goal by picking up her 23rd and 24th career shutouts – moving her past Jayne Grisham (2008-11) into fourth on the program's career shutouts chart. She also lowered her season goals-against average to a paltry 0.29 and raised her save percentage to 92.0%.

On the season, the Bulldogs have a +15 goal differential, getting 19 goals off the feet and heads of 11 different players. Senior Trisha Shoemaker leads the team in goals (4) and points (11), while sophomore Alexis Heffernan is one back in goals while leading the team in assists with four. Truman has out-shot its opponents 217-137, including a 99-50 edge in shots on goal.

Leading the Bulldogs on the sideline is head coach Mike Cannon, who is in his 21st season at the helm of the Truman program. He has a 274-97-41 all-time record at Truman and is the seventh-winningest active coach in NCAA-II history. Cannon has guided the Bulldogs to nine NCAA postseason appearances.

Senior Day Sunday:
Prior to Sunday's kickoff against McKendree, the Bulldogs will recognize seven senior student-athletes who will be playing their final regular season weekend contest at the Bulldog Soccer Park.

Kristina Weishar, Suzanne Pelley, Annie Skornia, Trisha Shoemaker, Kelsey Ridgway, Sally Smith and Emily Bozdeck will all be honored during pre-game festivities for their time spent wearing a Truman uniform. The six field players have combined for 321 games played and 80 points, while Bozdeck has compiled a 28-9-5 overall record in 50 appearances with a 0.62 GAA in nearly 4,200 career minutes.

Opponent Quick Glance:
Bellarmine checks into Friday's match having won two straight and four of its last five en route to a 6-3-1 conference mark. The Knights have been better on the road this season than at home, posting a 4-1-1 road mark compared to just 3-3-1 in Louisville.

BU has a +16 goal differential on the season, with eight of the squad's 27 goals coming via Mary Beth Gorham. Gorham (8G, 3A), Lauren Boyd (5G, 4A) and Chelsea McCarty (3G, 8A) have all recorded double-figure points for a Knight attack that has taken 219 total shots this season. Meanwhile, the Knights have split time between two different keepers, with Erin Ottman (0.18 GAA) and Hannah Poteet (1.28 GAA) splitting starts in net.

McKendree will visit Kirksville following at stop at Quincy on Friday night, as the Bearcats enter the weekend having accumulated five ties in their first 10 GLVC matches (3-2-5). MCK is 3-2-2 away from home this season, having most recently gone 0-0-2 with a pair of 1-1 draws at Saint Joseph's and Indianapolis last weekend. The Bearcats are 2-0-3 in their last five matches.

MCK has a +4 goal differential on the season, getting goals from seven different players. Chealsey Russell leads the squad in goals (5) and points (12), while Cassie Kalping has chipped in four tallies of her own. Both Maggie Dudas (1.21 GAA) and Taylor Zerbe (0.96 GAA) have made multiple starts in net for the 'Cats this season.

Bulldogs Jump Back to #20:
In the NSCAA top-25 coaches' poll, the Bulldogs moved back up two spots to No. 20 in this week's ranking, unveiled Tuesday afternoon. Truman continues to be just one of two (No. 11 Quincy) GLVC squads ranked in the top-25, with fellow regional-mate Grand Valley State holding down the top spot with a 10-0-1 record.

While the Bulldogs have been consistently ranked third in the NSCAA weekly rankings, the first of three sets of official NCAA regional rankings comes out next Wednesday afternoon.

Bulldogs Controlling Pace of Play:
Of the 1,241-plus minutes of action this season, the Bulldogs have only trailed for 20 minutes and two seconds – just 1.6% of the season. Truman has been tied with its opponents 64.4% (799:32) of the time and has been leading 34.0% (422:33) of the time spent on the field.

Truman has failed to lead in a match just four times this season, including in all three of the team's draws (Winona State, Lewis, Drury), as well as its season-opening OT loss at No. 3 Minnesota State.

Up Next:
The Bulldogs will hit the road for the final time in the 2013 regular season next weekend, visiting Southern Indiana (7-4-1, 5-4-1 GLVC) and Illinois Springfield (1-11, 0-10 GLVC) on Friday and Sunday (Oct. 25-27).
