Bulldogs, Knights Play to Scoreless Draw

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - - The Truman men's soccer team picked up its second straight Friday afternoon scoreless draw, as neither the Bulldogs nor the Bellarmine Knights could find the back of the net in Kirksville at the Bulldog Soccer Park.
 
The Bulldogs (6-4-3, 4-4-3 GLVC) and Knights (7-3-3, 5-3-3 GLVC) battled back and forth all afternoon, putting up a combined 28 shots (17-11 BU) and forcing keepers Blake Hunter and Drew Garrone to make four and five saves respectively.
 
Four different players registered two shots apiece for Truman, including Austin Hayden, Nick Tolmais, Nick Franta and Tony Luedecke. The Bulldogs earned three corner kicks in the match and were whistled for 20 fouls compared to BU's 15.
 
The Bulldogs have now gone into double overtime in each of the last three matches, posting a 0-1-2 mark in those contests.
 
Truman returns to action this Sunday afternoon for Senior Day, hosting McKendree at 2:30 pm at the Bulldog Soccer Park.
