EVANSVILLE, Ind. - - The Truman men's soccer team ran into a tough Southern Indiana squad on Friday night, as the Screaming Eagles scored once in the first half and twice late to pick up a 3-0 win against the 'Dogs.

Alex Jenison got USI (6-6-3, 5-6-2 GLVC) on the board just four minutes before the break, before Colton Tanner and Rush Dugger closed the match with a pair of goals in the waning minutes to keep Truman (7-6-3, 5-5-3 GLVC) from earning a result on Friday. Austin Hayden and Nick Franta each took three shots, while Drew Garrone made five saves in goal.

Both teams were rewarded with four corner kicks on the evening, while Truman out-shot USI 9-8 in the second half.

The Bulldogs cling to a tie for eighth in the GLVC standings with UW-Parkside entering Sunday's action, in which Truman will visit Illinois Springfield (6-10, 5-8 GLVC) at 2:30 pm.
