AURORA, Ill. - - Allie Brak, Kassi Schroeder, and Abby Heise all recorded double-figure kills, while Brak added a 25-point era school record seven aces, as the 15th-ranked Truman volleyball team closed the 2013 Crossover with a 3-2 win against GLIAC top-seed Northern Michigan.

The Bulldogs fell behind 1-0 but rebounded to take a 2-1 lead, before the Wildcats (15-7) bounced back to force a fifth frame. Truman never trailed in the final set, however, building a 3-0 lead before taking eight of nine points later in the set to lead 11-3 and never look back.

Brak was three service aces shy of recording an unconventional triple-double, as the junior led all 'Dogs with 15 kills to go with 10 digs. Meghan Zimmerman added a 39 assist/12 dig double-double of her own, while Abby Moser (15 digs) and Ali Patterson (six blocks) controlled the Truman defense. Schroeder, meanwhile, hit .333 with a career-high 12 kills - adding an ace and three digs - as the Bulldogs' second outside hitter.

Truman closed the weekend with a 1-2 record and will carry a 17-7 overall mark into next weekend, when the squad hosts Southern Indiana and Bellarmine on Saturday and Sunday in Pershing Arena. First serve between Truman and USI on Saturday is set for 5:00 pm.
