ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - - A back-and-forth battle between the Great Lakes Valley Conference's two No. 2 seeds tilted in favor of Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon, as the Greyhounds handed Truman volleyball a 3-1 setback in the conference title match at Lewis University.

The Bulldogs (23-11) must now await the word of the NCAA Div. II national selection committee on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. (CDT) to learn its postseason fate. Truman entered the GLVC tournament weekend - in which it picked up wins against region-No. 4 Southern Indiana and region-No. 5 Lewis en route to its Sunday loss against region-No. 7 UIndy - ranked ninth in the Midwest region.

Truman got a match-high 19 kills off the hands of sophomore MH Ali Patterson, who finished the weekend by totaling 51 kills in 13 sets, while also hitting .336. Sophomore OPP Abby Heise added nine kills, an ace and two blocks for 11.5 total points, and junior OH Allie Brak chipped in 11 kills and 15 digs for a double-double.

Junior DS/L Abby Moser led all 'Dogs with 22 digs along the back line, pacing three Truman players in that category, while sophomore MH Emilee Walters finished with six kills and two blocks.

The Bulldogs hit .176 for the match, with a high of .278 set during the team's 25-23 third set victory.

UIndy was led by Hailey Brown's 22-kill, 14-dig double-double, while three other 'Hounds added 10 kills apiece.
