Opening Kickoff:
After a 2-0-1 week propelled the Truman women's soccer team into the NSCAA top-25 for the first time this year, the No. 21 Bulldogs will hit the road for a pair of GLVC contests at Indianapolis and Saint Joseph's this Friday and Sunday.

Truman (4-1-2, 3-0-1 GLVC) will look to run its current unbeaten streak to seven and eight this weekend, as the Bulldogs travel to the University of Indianapolis on Friday, Sept. 27 at 4:00 pm (Central) before capping the trip at Saint Joseph's (Ind.) College on Sunday, Sept. 29 at noon. This weekend will mark the first time Truman has played either school since October of 2000, when the Bulldogs earned shutout home wins against both.

Last weekend, Truman earned four points in a pair of results against Lewis and then-No. 18 Wisconsin-Parkside. The Bulldogs battled to a 1-1 draw with Lewis on Sept. 20 before getting an overtime game-winner in a 2-1 win against UW-Parkside on Sept. 22. Coupling those results with the 4-0 win against Missouri Western on Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Bulldogs were led by a five-point week from sophomore Alexis Heffernan and a four-point stretch by junior Melanie Hunt. Truman out-shot its opponents 53-39 on the week and earned 20 corner kicks while surrendering just eight.

Senior keeper Emily Bozdeck continued her hot stretch, posting an 88% save percentage and a 0.61 goals-against average in nearly 300 minutes of action.

The Bulldogs currently sit alone in second place in the GLVC standings with 10 points, trailing league-leader Quincy (4-0) by two points while holding off a host of teams with either seven or eight league points.

Leading the Bulldogs on the sideline is head coach Mike Cannon, who is in his 21st season at the helm of the Truman program. He has a 269-97-40 all-time record at Truman and is the seventh-winningest active coach in NCAA-II history. Cannon has guided the Bulldogs to nine NCAA postseason appearances.

'Dogs Crack Top-25:
Fueled by its six-match unbeaten streak and a win on Sunday against then-No. 18 UW-Parkside, the Bulldogs found themselves in the NSCAA top-25 coaches' poll at No. 21 this week. Truman is tied with Valdosta (Ga.) State in the poll and is just one of two (No. 10 Quincy) GLVC squads ranked in the top-25.

Truman found itself ranked amongst the nation's elite twice last season, reaching a high of No. 18 in the Oct. 2, 2012 poll. The Bulldogs fell out of the poll the next week and never returned, despite posting a 1-0-1 record in the two matches from Oct. 2-8.

Bozdeck Pacing All GLVC Keepers:
Senior keeper Emily Bozdeck has earned top billing through three weekends in the GLVC individual rankings, leading all keepers in goals-against average (0.40), save percentage (92.1%), and shutouts (4). She also ranks third in total saves with 35.

She also continues to make a run up multiple career charts, ranking fifth all-time in shutouts (19), seventh in both total appearances (44) and keeper minutes (3,616), and eighth in saves (156). She needs just four saves to tie Jayne Grisham (2008-11) for seventh all-time.

Shoemaker Three Away from Top-10:
Senior forward Trisha Shoemaker is looking to crack Truman's all-time top-10 in goals despite playing just three seasons with the squad. She has 18 career goals and trails Riley Mahn (2006-09) by just three for the No. 10 slot.

Sharing Time:
Twenty-four different Bulldogs have seen the field this season, with only seniors Suzanne Pelley and Annie Skornia, junior Lauren Seawright and sophomore Jessica Hanson playing more than 80% of the total minutes possible as field players this season.

Pick-6 – Dogs Predicted for Top-Half Finish in First League Season:
The Bulldogs were picked to finish sixth in its first season of Great Lakes Valley Conference action, as announced on August 21st by the league office.

The Bulldogs earned 172 total points to come in just outside the top-five of the coaches' preseason selections, as defending conference champion Quincy was picked to successfully defend its 2012 title by garnering 10 of the 16 first-place votes and totaling 233 points.

William Jewell and Wisconsin-Parkside were chosen second and third, respectively, while Bellarmine and Rockhurst rounded out the top five.

Up Next:
The Bulldogs return home for two in-state league tilts next Friday and Sunday. Truman plays host to Rockhurst at 1:00 pm on Oct. 4 before welcoming William Jewell at noon on Oct. 6.
