WINONA, Minn. - - Closing out a two-match road trip against the NSIC's top two squads, the Truman women's soccer team notched a scoreless draw at Winona (Minn.) State on Sunday afternoon.

The teams were incredibly similar in the final stat categories, with both teams putting five shots on target. WSU (0-0-2) took eight corners compared to just five for Truman (0-1-1); however, both team's keepers came up big at different points to preserve the shutout.

Senior forward Trisha Shoemaker and senior midfielder Sally Smith put two shots on goal each, while senior keeper Emily Bozdeck lowered her season goals-against average to 0.47 with 110 shutout minutes.

The Bulldogs jump into conference play next weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon when the purple and white host Maryville (Mo.) in the program's first GLVC contest. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. from the Bulldog Soccer Park.
