LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - Despite out-shooting Bellarmine 16-7 overall, the Truman women's soccer team fell victim to a pair of early goals in a 2-0 loss on Sunday afternoon.

BU (5-2, 3-1 GLVC) got all the scoring the match would see in the first five minutes of action, as Mary Beth Gorham (2') and Abby Janszen (5') combined to put the purple and white in an early hole. Truman (5-2, 3-1 GLVC) would rebound and apply pressure on the Knights half of the field throughout much of the remainder of the match; however, the goals never came in only the second shutout of the Truman offense this season.

Alexis Heffernan led all players with six shots, while keepers Nicole Sparks and Katie Mattingly split halves in net for Truman. Each made one save.

The Bulldogs return to Kirksville on Friday afternoon for a 1 p.m. showdown with Drury at the Bulldog Soccer Park.
