Wrestling Returns From Break With Victory Over Central Baptist

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Bulldog Wrestling team returned from break by doubling up Central Baptist (Ark.) 36-15 in a home dual meet on Wednesday night in Pershing Arena. Roark Whittington and Steven Serbinski provided the wins.

Whittington pinned Juan Bustos at the 2:01 mark of the first period. The win was number 13 on the season for the Bulldog sophomore in the 157 weight class.
Serbinski followed with his own pinfall victory at 165. After a scoreless first period, Serbinski was leading 13-2 in the third when he got the takedown and quick pin at the 6:21 mark of the match.

The other three contested matches were victories by the Mustangs as Central Baptist had five open spots in their lineup.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday with a hefty slate of Division II duals at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. Truman will face Wisconsin-Parkside, host Lions and Ouachita Baptist beginning at noon.
