KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman men's soccer team gave up three second-half goals on Sunday afternoon en route to a 3-0 loss against GLVC foe, Southern Indiana.
The Bulldogs fell to 3-2-1 overall and 1-2 in league action while the Screaming Eagles improved to 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. Truman led Southern Indiana in total shots (13-7) and shots on goal (6-3), but the opposition was ahead in saves (6-0) and both teams were tied in corner kick attempts (3-3).
The Screaming Eagles' three scores came from Eric Ramirez in the 51st minute, Kyle Richardville in the 63rd and Morgan Kelly in the 78th. The assists for those goals were tallied by Richardville, Belding/Albert and Rickey, respectively.
In goal,
Zac Suazo faced seven shots and didn't record a save for the first time this season.
Jory Knernschield also got some action for the first time this year and played for 11 minutes and 40 seconds in relief of Suazo.
Next up, the Bulldogs will host Drury on Friday, September 23 beginning at 3:30 p.m.
