RECAP: Bellarmine 7, Truman 2

ELSAH, Ill. – The Bulldog Men's Tennis team dropped their second straight road match over the weekend as they fell to Bellarmine (Ky.) 7-2 in a neutral site match played at Principia College.

Griffin Turnage and Nick Thiele got Truman on the scoreboard with an 8-5 win at number three doubles. The other two matches went to the Knights 8-3 and 8-6.

In singles, Conner Frazier dropped his first set 6-2 but came back to win number two 6-3 and the tie breaking set 10-5 for the victory at number five singles.

Turnage forced a third set at number three singles. He dropped the first 6-4 but came back to turn the tables on Alex Swords in number two by the same 6-4 tally. Swords would win the tiebreaker 10-4.

The Bulldogs return to action with a swing through Kansas on March 3 and 4. Truman will take on Ottawa University and Emporia State.
