GRINNELL, Iowa - In its first action of the spring semester, the Truman men's tennis team was in the Hawkeye State to take on a pair of Division III programs in Grinnell College and Central College. The Bulldogs fell to the Pioneers 8-1 before earning their first win of the season over the Dutch, 6-3.

With the split, Truman now sits at 1-5 overall, while Grinnell improved to 2-0 and Central dropped to 0-3.

The No. 1 doubles pair of Ryan Bunselmeyer/Conner Frazier was responsible for the only Bulldog win against the Pioneers, but was one of six victories over the Dutch. Griffin Turnage and Nick Thiele also won their showdown against Central. As for the singles, the Purple and White took four of the six decisions including wins from Paul Province, Nick Thiele, Conner Frazier, and Alec Jarvis. Next up, the men's tennis team will face Southern Indiana in Quincy on Feb. 18 with first serve set for 11 a.m. from the Land of Lincoln.
