SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Truman wrestling program wrapped up its conference slate in its inaugural season as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Saturday in Springfield. The Bulldogs fell to No. 5 Wisconsin-Parkside, 48-6, and dropped a nail biter with host Drury, 23-18.

The Purple and White are now 7-12 overall with a 1-5 mark in the GLVC. On the other side, the Rangers finished as the GLVC champs with an overall record of 13-2, 6-0 in conference, while the Panthers split and now sit at 3-5 on the year, including 2-4 in league action.

Against Drury, Truman got five wins from J.J. Dorrell, Rafael Lopez, Dustin McClintock, Brandon Petit, and Sam Reeves. Dorrell won by forfeit in both matches of the day, but the Bulldogs hung with the Panthers throughout the second match of the day. Lopez, McClintock, Petit, and Reeves all won by decision and heading into the heavyweight bout, Truman was ahead by one in the team score, 18-17. However, Austin Dovin was pinned by Drury's Ben Melton in four minutes and 37 seconds.

Next up for the Bulldogs, they will host Missouri Valley College on Tuesday with the action set to begin at 7 p.m. inside Pershing Arena
