KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman State University wrestling team welcomed in Hannibal-LaGrange to Pershing Arena on Tuesday as part of Senior Night festivities. Behind two wins by forfeit, a pair by technical fall and two more by decision, the Bulldogs picked up their first team win of the season, 28-18.

After an open weight class at 125 to begin the dual, Caleb Osborn gave Truman a quick 5-0 lead with a 23-5 tech. fall victory at 133 and Nick Peglow made it 11-0 in favor of the home team with a win by forfeit at 141.

Dakota Schutter (pictured) made it 14-0 with a decision at 149, but Hannibal-LaGrange got six points back thanks to a fall in the 157-pound category. The Bulldogs pushed their advantage to 25-6, though, with a win by forfeit from Zach Taylor at 165 and a tech. fall victory (19-1) by Luke Komotos at 174.

The Trojans picked up a fall at 184 to cut the margin to 13, 25-12, before Sam Reeves shut the door on the visitors with a win by decision at 197. Hannibal-LaGrange earned a win by fall in the heavyweight division, but it was too little, too late as Truman picked up the 10-point team victory.

Next up, Truman will get back into Great Lakes Valley Conference action against Indianapolis and Bellarmine on Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
