RECAP: Two Truman Wrestlers Place At Central Baptist (Ark.) Invite

CONWAY, Ark. – Zach Williard was the champion of the 133 pound bracket and Vin Kriegshauser placed third at 174 to lead the Truman Wrestling team at the Central Baptist (Ark.) Invite on Saturday.

Williard won both of his matches by pinfall. He defeated Cameron Rodriguez (Schreiner University of Texas) at the 4:12 mark and Jeffery Williams (Central Baptist) at 1:59 for the top spot in the bracket.

Kriegshauser lost his opening match to Dailen Presgrove (Oklahoma Wesleyan) by fall at 2:15 but rallied to pin Ryan Thompson (Richland) in 39 seconds. In the third place bout, Kriegshauser pinned Ndayambaje John (Univ. of the Ozarks) 17 seconds into the second period.

Nate Wutherlich made his Truman debut at 149. He was defeated by fall by Grant Sullivan (Oklahoma Wesleyan) in 2:21 and lost by fall at 45 seconds to Ny'Trell Dean (Univ. of the Ozarks).

Zach Taylor lost 3-2 to Kaleb Greening (Hannibal-LaGrange) and 12-6 to Noah Guerra (Schreiner) in the 165-pound bracket.

Shane Gallagher lost by tech fall to Tirek West (Schreiner) and by pin to Drew McCollum (Hannibal-LaGrange) in the 197-pound weight class.

Truman will return to Division II competition with a dual at Lindenwood (Mo.) University on Tuesday night in St. Charles.
