KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman State University men's swimming team welcomed Missouri S&T into Pershing Natatorium on Friday for an afternoon affair. The Miners took first place in eight of the 11 events to defeat the Bulldogs, 123-73.
KEY PERFORMANCES
Sam Heveroh touched the wall first in the 200 free and did so with a time of 1:40.35.
Truman's other individual win came from
Mark Franz in the 200 breast where he was clocked at 2:19.41.
The Bulldogs also placed second and third in the 200 breast thanks to
Keegan Miller (2:23.25) and
Jake O'Bryan (2:23.43).
The Purple and White's third top-of-the podium showing came in the 400 freestyle relay.
There, the team of Heveroh,
Riley Olson,
Austin Baker, and
Lliot Gieseke won it with a mark of 3:11.27.
In second for that event was the quartet of
Grant Lair,
Jack McCormick,
John Breen, and
Scott Lair at 3:19.42.
