WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Sam Reeves and Jules Joseph placed third in their respective weight classes at the Central Missouri Roger Denker Open. Reeves and Joseph were making their season debuts.
 
133 - Zach Williard received a bye in the first two rounds. Defeated John Feeney (Central Missouri) 9-6 in the quarterfinals and advanced to the finals on a medical forfeit. He lost 4-3 in the championship match to Shea Ruffridge (Grand View-Iowa).
 
141 - Caleb Osborn lost his first round match to Reese Cokeley (Fort Hays State) by fall at 4:01. He advanced on a pair of byes in the bracket before losing by pin to Dakota Thevel (Central Missouri) at 4:48.
 
149 – Nathan Wunderlich lost his first round match to Trevor Anderson (Grand View-Iowa) by a fall in the first period (2:01). He received a pair of byes then lost by technical fall to Zach Willey (Grand View-Iowa).
 
165 – Zach Taylor advanced to the winners bracket with a first round bye but was defeated by Charley Genisio (Drury) by major decision 12-1 in the second round. Taylor bowed out after a 10-4 loss to Colin Harper (Drury).
 
174 – Vin Kriegshauser lost his first round match to Zach Lee (Grand View-Iowa) by fall at the 1:58 mark. He advanced in the consolation side with a pin over Joe Brady (Central Missouri) in the first period (2:00). He was sent to the fifth place match following a loss to Gabriel Rangel (Grand View-Iowa) by fall in 45 seconds. In the fifth place match, he lost by fall at the 4:49 mark to Chris Guest (Grand View-Iowa).
 
197 – Both Shane Gallagher and Sam Reeves competed in the bracket. Gallagher squared off and lost to Jake Woodley (Oklahoma) in a second round match. Reeves won 7-6 over Dylan Clarke (Concordia), also in the second round. Reeves lost 3-1 in the semifinals to Steven Gregory (Grand View-Iowa) and match matched up with Gallagher in the wrestlebacks. Reeves defeated his teammate by fall in 35 seconds to advance to the third place match. Gallagher lost in the fifth place match by first period fall to Clarke (Concordia). Reeves won 3-1 to win the third place bout over Joshua Molinar (Northeast Oklahoma).
 
285 – Jules Joseph won by major decision 19-10 in this first round match over Demitrius Miller (Concordia). He lost to Jacob Bohlken (Missouri) by fall at the 1:50 mark in the semifinals. He received a medial forfeit win over Chase Miller (Central Missouri) and advanced to the third place match. In the match, Joseph pinned Matt Kent (Grand View-Iowa) in 1:44.
 
The Bulldogs will wrestle at the Loras College Open on Saturday.
