KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—After splitting matches this weekend, the Truman Volleyball Team concludes their three match home stand tonight as they take on rival Quincy in GLVC action. After defeating Indianapolis 3-0 in their first home match of the season Friday night, they fell 3-0 to Bellarmine on Saturday.
Truman has dominated the all-time series against Quincy, winning 50 of 68 matchups. As GLVC opponents, the Bulldogs are undefeated against the Hawks with 11 wins since joining the conference in 2013. The last Quincy win in the series came in 1998 (3-2).
Ellie Kaat led the team with 15 and 10 kills against the Greyhounds and Knights, respectively, in the matches this weekend. The 2018 second team All-GLVC is averaging 10 kills and over 11 points per match since she returned from injury against Lewis.
Elle Renault had a career high four assists in the win over Indy as well as a season high 13 digs at Libero. She doubled her season total in assists to eight and with 25 digs over the weekend improves her season total to 81.
Quincy got their first GLVC win of the season by defeating Indy, just as Truman did. The Hawks are led by Emily Rehagen, the freshman outside hitter leads the team with 200.5 points and 189 kills this season. Sarah Blair leads the team with 205 digs and 19 aces.
After facing the Hawks, the Bulldogs embark on their next road trip as they take on Maryville in St. Louis and Missouri S&T in Rolla before the Midwest Region Crossover. The next home match will be November 1 against William Jewell.
