ST. LOUIS—Following their meet in Rolla, the Truman Men's Swimming team took on the number seven ranked Bears of Washington University in St, Louis Saturday. The hosts emerged victorious by a score of 172-83.
The Bulldogs got some standout performances today—Mark Franz took first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 57.44, Lliot Gieseke had a 21.1 anchor split in the 200 freestyle relay and Connor Neils had a solid day finishing third in the 1000 yard freestyle and fourth in the 500 yard freestyle.
Following the meet, coach Jerod Simek said, ""With a tough double off yesterday we had some strong performances. With just under a month to go till GLVC's in Crawfordsville the Bulldogs will begin to rest in a week or so and be able to go into conference less heavy than we are at this point in the season."
The team will be back in action this Friday at Pershing Natatorium as they take on St. Louis University at 5:00 for Senior Day.
