NOTES: Truman Heads to Quincy for a Monday Tilt

KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—There will be no rest for the weary as the Truman Men's Basketball team heads to Quincy for their third game in five days. It will be the second meeting with the Hawks this season, the reverse game being a 69-59 win for the Bulldogs in Kirksville on December 3rd. Both teams have won four straight games, something has to give.

The Bulldogs have moved up to third in the conference in scoring defense, allowing just 66.3 points per game; and are sixth in field goal defense allowing opponents to shoot just .420 from the field.

In GLVC games, the Bulldogs have the highest margin of victory in the conference at +15. The defense has been suffocating with a conference best 57.9 points allowed. Offensively the Bulldogs are fifth in the conference with 72.9 points scored in conference games. #1 Bellarmine is second in scoring margin at +10.8.

Brodric Thomas maintains his position of second in the GLVC in scoring at 20.5 points per game. He is now just .2 behind TJ Crockett of Lindenwood. He sits tied for 11th in rebounds with 6.5 per game, tied with Quincy's Aziz Fadika.

The Opponent:

Quincy has an identical record to Truman at 10-5, though they sit two games back in the GLVC at 4-3. After an 0-3 start to their GLVC slate, the Hawks have won four in a row as they defeated Maryville, Missouri S&T, Lewis and Illinois Springfield. Tanner Stuckman leads the team with 19.3 points per game, which is third in the conference. Austin Downing is third in the GLVC in assists with 5.5 per game.

Up Next:

The Bulldogs will remain on the road this week as they take on Southern Indiana in Evansville Thursday and then McKendree in Lebanon, Ill. Saturday.
