Softball Adds Four During November Signing Period

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman Softball program and Head Coach Amanda Bradberry have inked four players to National Letters of Intent during the November signing period. They are Madi McCarty (Kirksville, Mo.), Cassie Smith (Hartland, Wis.), Alivia Daniels (Troy, Mo.) and Brooke Nutter (Columbia, Mo.).

"We are very excited about our 2022 class and the pride and passion they will bring to the softball field," said Coach Bradberry. "Their athleticism, game knowledge and overall pride for Truman State University is exciting to see and will help us continue to move the program where we want it to go. In addition to being great softball players, all of these women are great people and great students and will continue to move our culture forward. I am excited for the things this class will do in the purple and white!"

"Madi McCarty has attended every camp we've hosted and has continued to shine each time she's been on campus. She works very hard behind the plate and has a strong arm. Additionally, she has great foot speed that makes her a threat in the outfield and on the bases. She's had tremendous success on both her high school and travel teams and I know that she'll also do great in the purple and white!"

"Alivia Daniels is a middle-infielder who can throw from any arm angle and cover a ton of ground! Her quick release, game knowledge and athleticism make her one of the top middle infielders in the state. She exudes passion and joy when she is playing the game and will be fun to watch over the next four years!"

"Brooke Nutter is a pitcher/1^st basemen that has had a tremendous high school career! Her team consistently plays against some of the best talent in the state of Missouri and she continually shut down big-time offenses while in the circle. Additionally, she swings with a lot of power and consistency and is a tough out every time she steps in the batter's box. Brooke also knew very early that she wanted to be at Truman State and we are ready for her to be a Bulldog!"
