ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis Flyers posted a walk-off win in game one then downed the Truman State Bulldogs 10-2 in the nightcap to take a pair of GLVC games on Friday. Truman will return to action on Sunday at the University of Indianapolis. 

Game 1: Lewis 11, Truman State 8

Lewis got a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to down the Truman Bulldogs 11-8 in the first game of the series. Truman rallied from down 7-1 to go up 8-7 in their half of the seventh but with two outs, a single and hit batter put two on. 

Evie Calderon picked up her fourth RBI of the game and third hit to tie the game and Sara Serena belted the winning shot to right center field.

Maria McGonegle went 3-for-4 for the Bulldogs and drove in four runs and Emma Walbert went 3-for-5 with a run scored. 

Walbert doubled and scored to stake the Bulldogs to a 1-0 lead in the first but Lewis scored five times on only two hits in the bottom of the second inning. Calderon with a three-run homer to cap things off.

They added two in the third to go up 7-1 before Truman barked back. The Bulldogs took advantage of an error and a walk with McGonegle doubling in three of the four runs in the fourth. 

McGonegle picked up her fourth RBI with a single to make it 7-6 in the fifth.

Lauren Stade tied the game with a solo home run to start the seventh and Ellie Weltha singled and went to second on an error. Macy Taylor pinch ran and would score on a double from Kayla Quanstrum.

Game 2: Lewis 10, Truman State 2

The Flyers put up four runs in the bottom of the second to take the early lead. 

Truman cut the lead in half as Cameryn Patterson doubled in Emma Walbert and Brieanna Klein hit a sac fly to center field to plate Quanstrum.

Lewis added four more in the fourth and scored single runs in the fifth and sixth to win via the "run-rule".
