KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State Men's basketball (10-11, 5-8 GLVC) goes to No. 7 University of Indianapolis (18-2, 10-2 GLVC) on Thursday, February 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. ET on the campus of UIndy.
Against UIndy:
The Greyhounds of UIndy are currently first in the GLVC, with a 10-2 record in conference play. They are 9-1 at home, and 9-1 away. Their two losses were at Quincy (62-57), and against Rockhurst (71-61). The Greyhounds are on a 12-game win streak. UIndy defeated Truman State 80-57 earlier in the season (11/28/22). Kendrick Tchoua, Jesse Bingham, and Josiah Tynes were UIndy's double-digit scorers. Kendrick scored 17, Bingham had 16, and Tynes put up 15. Tchou grabbed 10 rebounds, had three assists, and a steal.
Jesse Bingham leads the Greyhounds in scoring on the season, averaging 15.8 points per game. Bingham averages 3.2 rebounds, team-high 2.8 assists, and 0.7 steals per game. He scored a season-high 23 points twice in wins against Drury and Missouri-St. Louis.
Kendrick Tchoua is second in scoring, putting up 13.5 points a game. He leads the team in rebounds with 7.5 per game, and averages one steal and one assist. 6-foot-7 Tchoua scored 26 points against Missouri S&T on 1/12/23. The 26 points were the most scored by a Greyhound this season.

Truman State Men's basketball is coming off a huge win against then No. 17 Missouri-St. Louis (currently ranked No. 25) 69-62 in Pershing Arena on 1/28/23.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an 11-point lead, up 25-14 with 7:10 left in the first half. Hunter Strait scored eight points in that span. UMSL fought back to tie the game at 28 at the end of half. Truman shot 12-30 (40%) from the field, with none of their 11 3-point attempts going in. The Tritons of UMSL had a hard time getting a bucket as well, shooting 9-30 (30%), but went 4-14 from three.
The second half went back-and-forth, with both Truman and UMSL trading leads. The game was tied 57-57 with 6:42 left, but an electric dunk from Nduka Ogwu gave Truman the spark they were looking for. The Bulldogs kept a small lead, up two with a minute left in the game. CE Talton hit a clutch fadeaway 3-pointer in front of Truman's bench with 0:28 left to secure the victory for the Bulldogs.
Hunter Strait led Truman in scoring with 16 points on an efficient 4-7 shooting. He went 8-11 on free throws and recorded seven assists along with four rebounds and two steals.
Xavier Hall had 11 points with four assists and two rebounds.
Bradley Andrews and Dylan Peeters each scored 10 points. Andrews added four rebounds and a block to his total. Peeters nearly had a double-double, grabbing nine boards along with a block and a steal.
CE Talton, Nduka Ogwu, Elijah Hazekamp, and Brandon Kracht also scored in the game.
Elijah Hazekamp leads the Bulldogs in scoring and rebounds, averaging 14.9 points and 7.3 boards per game.
Freshman Xavier Hall dishes out 4.1 assists per game, which leads the team.
Hunter Strait averages 13.2 points in GLVC play, which is second behind Hazekamp's 14.7.
Truman plays at McKendree on Saturday, February 4th, at 3 p.m. in Lebanon, Ill.
