ROLLA, Mo. - Truman baseball dropped both games of the Saturday doubleheader at Missouri S&T.
Game One:
The Bulldogs got on the board first with three runs in the top of the first inning. Dylan Thompson, Tyler Tieman, and Dakota Spicer all hit RBI singles.
S&T took a 7-3 lead after the third, and Luke Turner made it a 7-4 game with a single to right-center that scored Simon Murray.
The Miners added three more runs in the fourth before Grant Beck tallied another one for the Bulldogs in the fifth.
S&T scored eight in the sixth to run rule the Bulldogs.
Luke Turner went 3-4 with an RBI and a run.
Dylan Thompson and Tyler Tieman each had two hits and an RBI.
Game Two:
All six combined came in the third inning, with the Bulldogs getting the first run with Tal Dean scoring on a fielder's choice. Holden Missey doubled to right, scoring Luke Turner.
The Miners scored four in the same inning off a single, sacrifice fly, and a two-RBI double.
Tal Dean, Holden Missey, Alex Wittenauer, and Grant Beck had a hit apiece. Holden Missey and Luke Turner had the lone RBI of the day.
Isaac Epp threw 4.2 innings, allowing four earned runs and six hits.
Alex Leary threw 1.1 innings, allowing no hits and a strikeout.
Truman looks to even the series tomorrow against the Miners at noon.
