KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Oliver Doyle's first collegiate goal came at the most opportune time as his strike found the net in the 79th minute for the Truman State Men's Soccer team's 1-0 victory over William Jewell on Sunday.
Doyle caught a pass from Nathan Grewe and shot the ball into the lower left side of the net for the 1-0 lead at the 78:49 mark.Â
Both teams posted double-digit shot attempts with the Bulldogs' Justin Olwig stopping four shots and three others knocked away by teammates on the goal line.
Truman State had to play the final three plus minutes a player down.
The Bulldogs improve to 3-4-3 overall and 2-3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. They will be at Drury (Mo.) University on Friday afternoon.Â
