Quick Keisker goal all 'Dogs need against SBU in 2-0 win

BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Bulldogs netted a goal from Landon Keisker in the 7th minute and got it to stand in a 2-0 victory over conference foe Southwest Baptist.

Keisker played a header off a corner from Caden Hoehns to score his second goal in as many games. His three goals on the season places him ahead of Hoehns and Jacob Panagos for the team lead while the assist on the go-ahead goal was the first for Hoehns as a Bulldog.

The match remained a Truman State 1-0 lead until the 70th minute when Nathan Grewe tallied his first goal of the season off assists by Panagos and Slayton Spencer, the first and second assists in their careers, respectively.

Truman State climbs to 4-5-3 overall, 3-4-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while SBU falls to 2-10-3 overall, 1-9-1 in GLVC play.

The Bulldogs return home Friday for a 2:30 match at Stokes Stadium against Lincoln (Mo.).
