KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman Bulldog Baseball program earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Academic Excellence Award for the 2023-24 academic year. The Bulldogs were one of four Great Lakes Valley Conference teams to be recognized.
 
Dan Davis' squad joined Maryville, Rockhurst and Upper Iowa on the list of 84 Division II programs to achieve the honor and nearly 500 collegiate baseball programs across the country.
 
Recognition is given to teams who had a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better and a current member of the ABCA.
 
This is the eighth time in nine seasons that the Bulldogs have earned the ABCA Academic Excellence Award.
