WICHITA, Kan. - - Seniors Matt Kimball and Dan Meagher scored two goals each, while fellow senior Bobby Larkin added three more assists, as the No. 9 Truman men's soccer squad pushed its unbeaten streak to 11 with a 4-0 win against St. Mary's (Texas) at the Newman University Invitational.

The Bulldogs (11-2-2) got on the board in the seventh minute when Meagher's fifth goal of the season put St. Mary's (3-13) in a quick hole. Larkin (St. Louis, Mo., Parkway) found Meagher (Chesterfield, Mo., SLU High) for the first tally, before then hooking up twice in a ten-minute stretch early in the second half with Kimball, Truman's goal-leader, to put the 'Dogs up, 3-0. For Kimball (Kirkwood, Mo., Kirkwood), it marked goals number 10 and 11 on the season, while Larkin pushed his NCAA-best assist mark to 16 in just 14 games played by lending his assistance on each of Truman's first three goals.

Then, in the 82nd minute, Meagher found pay-dirt once again, taking a corner kick from junior Jonathan Brown and heading it into the net for the 4-0 final margin.

Truman dominated the entire match, as the Rattlers mustered just one shot on goal. That save was credited to redshirt freshman Nick Wallner (St. Louis, Mo., SLU High), who spelled sophomore Tyler Knierim in the 82nd minute after Knierim (Hartsburg, Mo., Southern Boone) did not face a shot on target. Meanwhile, the 'Dogs took 21 total shots and put ten on net, while also earning a season-high 13 corner kicks – including nine in the first 45 minutes.

The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season on Sunday morning with a 10 am match against Texas A&M-International, also on the Newman University campus. Truman is currently ranked second in the South Central region, with the top two teams from the region qualifying for the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
