Olivia Hayes (Clayton, Mo., Clayton) notched her second goal of the season in just the seventh minute of Saturday afternoon's women's soccer match against Nebraska-Omaha, and the Truman Bulldogs held on to the one-goal margin in a 1-0 win against UNO.

Beth Bystrom (Ames, Iowa, Ames) forwarded a feed on to a wide open Hayes. Hayes then found the back of the net for her 14th career goal.
Despite being outshot 14-9 overall, the Bulldogs held the lead for the rest of the game in moving to 3-1 overall on the season and 2-0 in the MIAA. UNO dropped to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the MIAA.
Junior keeper
Jayne Grisham (Bridgeton, Mo., Ursuline Academy) picked up her first solo shutout of the season, making eight saves.
The Bulldogs are next in action on Thursday, Sept. 16 at Missouri Southern in a 7pm match in Joplin.
