Earlier this season, Lindenwood visited William Jewell (Mo.) College and came out on top in a 2-1 victory. The Bulldogs struggled to find offense against the Cardinals in a 1-0 shutout in Kirksville.
Scouting the Tigers:
This season marks the inaugural season for the Fort Hays State Tigers. The Tigers have started the program with a solid start, compiling a 7-2-1 record as of Oct. 12th, with both losses ending in a 1-0 shutout.

Fort Hays has also increased the number of goals per game to 2.10, and hold their opponents to just 0.90 goals per match.
Ricardo Yeverino and Diego Cabral provide for most of Fort Hays' offense. Yeverino is now up to ten goals for the season after scoring two in the first contest against the 'Dogs. He also leads the team with 21 points and 45 total shots for the season. Cabral is the assist leader for the Tigers, posting six in ten games and putting up 34 shots overall.
Scouting the Jets:

Bidding Farewell…:
This season, the Bulldogs will graduate three members of their squad who will play their last home match on Sunday, Oct. 16th.
Jonathan Brown
In his tenure as a Bulldog, Brown has seen action in 62 matches and has started in 51 of those. Throughout those 62 matches, Brown has earned a spot in the top ten career assists leaders, putting him tied for ninth overall with former Bulldog Heine Anderson at 19. He sits eight assists behind former teammate Bobby Larkin. On top of having 19 total assists, Brown has recorded seven goals, including two this season.
Tyler Knierim
Before the next set of games, goalkeeper Tyler Knierim has seen almost 3600 minutes in the goal after two and a half seasons. After only two seasons as a Bulldog, Knierim jumped on the shutouts list to 6th all-time with 13. He sits four shutouts behind keeper Derek Mazeitis. In the 2009 season, Knierim recorded seven shutouts, which put him 8th all-time for most shutouts in a season.
Knierim redshirted his freshman year of soccer and is foregoing his senior year of eligibility to graduate this year.
Matt Sanderson
In four years as a Bulldog, Matt Sanderson recorded three goals and two assists while playing a main part of Truman's defense. Sanderson saw action in 49 games and started in 32 of them. This season, Sanderson's lone goal was the game winner in a contest against Dixie State (Utah) on Sept. 11.
Road Warriors:
The 2011 Bulldogs will spend the majority of the season away from Kirksville, as 12 of the 16 games are either road or neutral site contests. Overall, the 'Dogs will log just more than 5,000 miles this season, or, enough to go to Boston, Mass., and back…twice.
Up Next:

While in Fayette, Truman will see action against two new opponents for the Bulldogs program. Then, on Oct. 30th, the Bulldogs will wrap up their season in a 10:30 am match-up against the Marauders of the University of Mary (N.D.).
