LIBERTY, Mo. - - The No. 17 Truman volleyball team hit .333 and recorded 11 aces en route to a 3-0 sweep of William Jewell College on Saturday evening.

The Bulldogs (14-5, 8-1 GLVC) backed up Friday's five-set win at Rockhurst by jumping all over the Cardinals in the match – hitting .500 in the first set before a .370 mark in the second to keep WJC in single-digits. The third set was much closer, but the Bulldog reserves fended off any Cardinal threats late to pick up the 25-22 victory.

Emilee Walters led all players with 10 kills, while Abby Heise added six kills and Kayla Bastian chipped in five. Walters also led Truman with four blocks, with Meghan Zimmerman's 35 assists pacing the Bulldog attack.

Truman's 11 aces all came in the first two sets, with Zimmerman and Ali Patterson recording four each.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday (Oct. 18) evening in Pershing Arena, when the team hosts Missouri S&T at 7:00 pm.
