RECAP: Tennis Drops 8-1 Decision To Bellarmine

ELSAH, Ill. – The Truman Women's Tennis team began their spring season with an 8-1 defeat at the hands of Bellarmine on Sunday afternoon.

Marissa Thome and Lindsey Schlichting picked up the team point for the Bulldogs at number two doubles. The duo defeated Nadia Sabie and Mary Elaine Kuo by an 8-2 score.

The Knights won all six singles matches but two needed three sets to complete. Lauren Jin drew out Maggie Walroth at number one singles and Elise Mousseau took her match to three sets at number four singles.

The Bulldogs will head west to Kansas this weekend with duals scheduled on Friday against Ottawa University and on Saturday against Emporia State.
