RECAP: Maryville Women Down Truman Tennis 8-1

ST. LOUIS – The Truman Women's Tennis team dropped a Great Lakes Valley Conference dual to Maryville University by the score of 8-1. The team will play the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday.

Lindsey Schlichting won her team-leading seventh singles match of the season when she rallied to down Sandra Hinterberger 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 for the only Truman team point of the match.

Schlichting, along with doubles partner Marisa Thome, had their five match winning streak stopped at number two doubles. The twosome lost 8-5 to Hinterberger and Lina Kunert of the Saints.
