RECAP: Rockhurst Takes Pair From Truman Tennis

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman Tennis squads were downed in a pair of home Great Lakes Valley Conference home matches on Saturday afternoon. The women fell 9-0 and the men 8-1 to the Rockhurst Hawks. Truman will finish up their home slate with Nebraska-Kearney on Monday.

Paul Province and Gavin Hatter had a spirited match and won at number two doubles with an 8-1 score for the men's only team point in the match with the Hawks. Rockhurst won the other two matches in doubles by 8-0 tallies.

Rockhurst took all six singles in straight sets.

In the women's contest, the Hawks swept through the doubles by 8-0, 8-4 and 8-5 scores then were victorious in all six singles matching in straight sets.

The Bulldogs will step outside of conference action with a late addition to the schedule for Monday. Truman will host Nebraska-Kearney of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association starting at 2 p.m.
