RECAP: Women's Tennis Starts Season On High Note

ST. LOUIS – The Truman Women's Tennis team began their 2017 fall season at the Webster University Tournament on Saturday.
 
Of the six Bulldogs that competed in the tournament, the team posted a 13-6 singles record, including three players picking up three singles wins each.
 
In the "A" Singles bracket, Lindsey Schlichting posted a 2-1 record, advancing to the finals before falling in a tie-break set. Maura Dunn went 2-2 to finish fourth.
 
In "B" Singles, Alexandra Rogers went 3-1 in her collegiate debut to place third.
 
In "C" Singles, Morgan Eby also made her collegiate debut and placed third with a 3-1 record.
 
In "D" Singles, Kaylin Albin posted a 2-1 record to finish third while Finessa Rassel lost her opening match but won three straight to place fifth.
 
Schlichting and Dunn won three of their four matches to finish third in the "A" doubles draw. Rogers and Eby lost in the "B" draw championship match 8-5. Rassel and Albin were 2-2 to finish in fourth in the "C" bracket.
 
The Bulldogs will join their male counterparts next weekend at the Illinois Springfield Tournament.
