RECAP: Tennis Wraps Up Weekend Action

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman Tennis teams continued play in their fall season this weekend with the women hosting a tournament in Kirksville and the men heading to Quincy for an invitational.

The women hosted Quincy and McKendree on Saturday. Alex Rogers picked up a 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 win over Nicole Lao in Flight 2. Morgan Eby defeated Marta Caballero Garcia 7-5, 6-3 in Flight 3. Emily Kickham won in straight sets over Lexi Ginter of Quincy 6-3, 6-3 in Flight 6 and Rachel Shelly was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Sarah Luther in Flight 7.

Finessa Rassel and Kayla Peterson defeated Ginter and Luther 6-3 in Flight 3 doubles.

The men's team was in Quincy for their weekend tournament. Haydon Windsor posted a 3-0 record to win Pool E and Chase Klosener went 2-1 in Pool D for the Bulldogs. Nick Thiele also had a 2-1 record in Pool B.

The women will compete at the Missouri-St. Louis Tournament next weekend.
