KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—The Truman men's soccer team opened their conference slate last weekend with a win over Quincy—their first win over the Hawks in eight seasons. They will be looking to keep that momentum going as they head to Kansas City for a pair of road matches against Rockhurst and William Jewell.
Sophomore keeper
Roy Hart is currently eighth in the conference in goals against average at 1.33. He has saved nine of 13 shots he has faced this season for a .692 save percentage; good for tenth in the conference. He is one of five goalies in the conference with a shutout to his credit this season. Excellent defense from the back line-inclduing

Will Clayton; limited Quincy to just 9 shots total and only three on target in the victory.
Matt Yankowitz is averaging three shots per game, tied for seventh in the conference. He is averaging two points per game behind his two goals, one of only five players in the conference with that mark. In addition,
Andrew Brennan,
Mateo Montano,
Jeff Masters and
Collin McDonough have found the back of the net; and Brennan has the team's lone assist.
They will face Rockhurst on Friday night at 7:30. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 1-1-1 after defeating William Jewell on Sunday to open their conference season. They fell 3-0 to Fort Hays in their season opener and then drew with Rogers State 2-2 in their home opener. They have gotten goals from Adam Burnett, Jackson Wood and Luke Rafanan. Brendan Dolan picked up two assists. In net Nick Randazzo started in relief of Peter Baker against William Jewell and picked up the win.
William Jewell comes into the weekend with a record of 0-3, falling to Rogers State, Harding University and Rockhurst. They fell 3-1 in the first two games before their 1-0 loss to Rockhurst. The Cardinals got goals from Dawson Lee and Cody Benedict. Jose Cambreros has appeared in all three games for the Cardinals, taking all three losses. Jayden Hicks started the match against Harding in net and played the first half to a 1-1 tie before Cambreros took over. Truman will take them on at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
After these two matches, they head on the road for one game at Indianapolis on the 27
th at 6:30 p.m. before coming home to host Bellarmine on the 29
th at noon at Bulldog Soccer Park.
