CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa--The Truman Tennis team took on Grandview College and Coe College on Coe's campus in Cedar Rapids Sunday, taking the first dual vs Grandview 4-3 and the second 8-1 over Coe.

TSU 4, Grandview 3

The Bulldogs picked up the doubles point with a win in second doubles from Morgan Eby and Julia Fangman and a default in third doubles. Despite Grandview winning first, second and third singles, Caprice Huitron picked up a win in fourth singles (for her second straight win there) and Fangman won fifth singles. Grandview defaulted on sixth singles.

Third singles: Fredrika Kuttenkeyler over Samantha Seggerman (TSU) 7-5, 6-2

Fifth singles: Fangman (TSU) over Madie Heinen 6-1, 6-1

Sixth singles: Rachel Shelly (TSU) over default

First doubles: Gowthoman/Ordinteua over Rogers/Seggerman 6-3

Second doubles: Eby/Fangman over Heinen/Kuttenkeyler 6-3

Third doubles: Huitron/Shelly over default

The Bulldogs picked up all doubles points and five singles points.

First singles: Rogers (TSU) over Emma Lassen 6-4, 7-5

Second singles: Eby (TSU) over Eliza Sunderman default

Third singles: Seggerman (TSU) over Jane Lapray 6-3, 6-0

Fourth singles: Michaela Pinto over Huitron (TSU) 4-1 default

Fifth singles: Fangman (TSU) over Mikayla Heath 6-0, 6-0

Sixth singles: Shelly (TSU) over Danida Almorales 6-0, 6-0

First doubles: Rogers/Seggerman (TSU) over Lapray/Sunderman 8-4

Second doubles: Eby/Fangman (TSU) over Lassen/Heath 8-4

Third doubles: Huitron/Shelly (TSU) over Abby Mau/Pinta 8-1


The team will be back in action March 20 at Doane University in Crete, Neb.
