BOLIVAR, Mo. - The Truman State Tennis team fell to Southwest Baptist on Friday 6-1. The Bulldogs will head down the road to Springfield, Missouri and face Drury on Saturday in another GLVC dual.
Southwest Baptist secured the doubles point by winning all three matches. Sydney Dial and Nayana Malangi battled to a 6-4 loss in the first match while the other two were decided by 6-2 scores.
The first three singles matches were hotly contested to start. Dial lost 7-6 (7-5) in the first set at number one, Malangi fell 7-6 (7-3) in the first at number two while Akansha Negi won her first set 6-4 before dropping the second 7-5 and the tiebreaker 10-5 at number three.
Abbi Worster earned the point for the Bulldogs with a 6-1, 6-4 win at number six singles.
