GOODWELL, Okla.  – The Truman Baseball team started the season 4-0 for the first time since 1992 after a weekend sweep over Oklahoma Panhandle State.

Dave Gambino got the season off to a bang with a two-run homer in the first inning of game one on Saturday. The Bulldogs took the opener 10-8 in extra innings with Andrew Range picking up his first career win on the mound and redshirt freshman Austin Tinsley notching the save.

Game two was won 8-1 by the Bulldogs with Cody Gardner recording his sixth career complete game and seventh career win.

The Bulldogs exploded for eight runs in the top of the seventh to win Sunday's opener 12-4. Jarod Hahn hit a grand slam in the inning, the first by a Bulldog since Bryce Bond against Missouri Southern in April of 2010. Truman pounded out 16 hits in the game with Alex Hoffmann improving to 5-3 for his career.
