SPRINGFIELD, Mo.  – The Drury Panthers scored three times in their final at bat to down the Truman Bulldogs 6-5 to split the four-game series between the two schools. The Bulldogs' Paul Trenhaile became the program's all-time RBI leader with three on the day.

Trenhaile's double gave the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead in the third inning as he cleared the bases to give him 41 RBIs for the season and 125 during his career passing Aaron Royster's 122 RBI total from 1991-94.

Christian Magno doubled in a run in the fourth and Ryan Colombo tripled and scored to tie things up in the fifth.

The Bulldogs retook the lead in the sixth when Kyle Smith doubled and scored on an infield single by Wyatt Fones. However, Truman stranded a pair of runners when the next three hitters were retired.

In the eighth, Fones started the inning being hit by a pitch and came around on an RBI single up the middle by Zak Larkin.

Magno doubled to start the ninth for the Panthers and was lifted for a pinch runner. Spencer Wilmes cut the lead to 5-4 with an RBI single. A fielding error compounded matters and Truman was forced to load the bases on an intentional walk with one out. Bobby Lang grounded to short and the Bulldogs chose to get the runner at third allowing the tying run to score.

Luke Tewes followed and ended the game with a single to left that brought in Dallas Williams from second and the winning run.

Alex Hoffmann went the distance for the Bulldogs passing his previous longest outing of his career by one out. He struck out three and allowed 11 hits while suffering his first loss of the season in five decisions.

Nick Costantino got his third win of the season in relief as he tossed the final one and two-thirds innings and did not allow a hit.

The Bulldogs will finish up their season series with Quincy on Tuesday by travelling to the "Gem City" for a doubleheader. Each team won a game in Kirksville back on April 1.
