Truman State University Athletics

Richard Otte, an all-America football wide receiver in the early 1980s for Truman, went into the 1995 season ranked 14th on the all-time list for Division II career pass receptions with 202 catches. After finishing his career with the Bulldogs, Otte had free-agent tryouts with the St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. He then worked as a district manager for Ozark National Life Insurance Co. and the INS Financial Services.
