Jerry Krumeich, a graduate of Essex Catholic High School in Newark, N.J., came to the university in 1964 as a sophomore, transferring from Villanova University. As a sprinter and relay performer on some of the university's strongest track teams, he helped the Bulldogs capture MIAA indoor and outdoor titles in 1965-67. During his three years at the university, Mr. Krumeich won individual conference championships in the 100 and 200-yard dashes and was part of conference championship mile and 400 relay teams. He received All-American honors in the 220-yeard dash at the 1966 NCAA College Division meet with a fourth-place finish and came in sixth in the 100 at the national championships. Mr. Krumeich was also a member of a nationally ranked mile relay team in 1966. In addition, he was a three-time champion in the 100 and 200 at the NCAA regional. At that time he held the school record in the 200. As a Bulldog senior he was team captain. After graduating from the university Mr. Krumeich taught one year and then served in the Army. After returning to civilian life, he taught in the Livingston (NJ) School System before joining Human Resource Management, Inc. in about 1973. In 1983, he became a partner in HRM in Florham Park, N.J. He ran track at the master's level for a number of years.
