A first-team all-America for the National Golf Coaches Association, Gross placed seventh in the 1989 NGCA Division II Championships helping the Bulldogs to a third-place finish. In 1990, Gross finished fifth, the highest in Truman history as the Bulldogs also placed fifth in the championships. Her career best round was a 75 at the William Penn Invitational in 1988 and holds the lowest round in Bulldog history in post-season competition with a 77 in the 1990 championship. During her career, Gross was the Individual Medalist in four tournaments, including a team record three in 1989. A four-year letterwinner for head coach Sam Lesseig, Gross came to Truman from Marshalltown, Iowa.
