Truman State University Athletics

Larry Johnsen was an all-conference defensive end on Truman's football teams in the mid-1960s. Johnsen was an assistant football coach for 11 years and head coach for eight seasons at Geneseo High School, directing the team to a 1982 Illinois 4-A state title and a 1981 state runner-up finish. At the time of his induction, he was the assistant head football coach and defensive coordinator at Augustana (Ill.) College.
