Dr. Richard Erzen was known as the "super sub" on two basketball teams that posted a cumulative record of 59-4 in the mid-1940s, captured conference titles and competed in the NAIA National Tournament. He retired in 1988 after a distinguished career as a public school and college teacher and administrator. Dr. Erzen served as president of College of Lake Country in Grayslake, Ill., from 1968-78.
