    Orval Craig was reared in Kirksville and enrolled at the university in 1926. He lettered four years in football and basketball and earned All-Conference accolades three times in each sport. Orval was also an All-State All-American end. He served as captain of the 1928 All-MIAA Football team. After graduation, he taught physical education at Kirksville Junior high school, was a field executive for the Boy Scouts of American in Wichita, KS, an industrial arts teacher in the Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School, instructor at Washington University and an instructor in engineering drawing at Forest Park Community College.
