Trish (Kongable) Brown earned second team all-America honors in 1986 after leading the conference and setting a school record with a 0.25 earned run average. She was 20-7 that season with 181 strikeouts to 31 walks and 10 shutouts as Truman advanced all the way to the NCAA Division II Final Four. She played for the Bulldogs from 1983-1986, making three NCAA Tournament appearances. Brown was a second-team all-MIAA pitcher in both 1983 and 1984 before moving up to first-team honors in 1985 and 1986. Brown finished her Bulldog career as the all-time leader in wins with 49, strikeouts with 461, shutouts with 28 and second in innings pitched with 514. Her 181 strikeouts in 1986 was a Truman school record and is now fourth on the all-time season list. Her teams won three MIAA conference championships in her four seasons as a Bulldogs. Brown was an Academic All-American honorable mention, Academic All-Conference member and member of the Truman's Dean's List.
