Glendle G. Pickering lettered four years in football and track. He was a starting end on Bulldog football teams that won four MIAA championships and compiled a cumulative record of 27-5-1 from 1951-54. He earned all-conference honors in 1954. After graduation, he served in the Marine Corps where he coached and played on an undefeated Marine base championship team. Pickering directed high school football for twelve years, amassing a cumulative record of 50-30-3. He was last employed as an assistant high school principal. Pickering retired in 1992.
